HEADCANON : How Albus Dumbledore defeated Gellert Grindelwald who was weilding Elder Wand.

We all have not seen yet that how Albus Dumbledore defeated Gellert Grindelwald in the Most Epic Duel Of All Time which we will get to see in the ongoing spin off prequel of the beloved Harry Potter Series - Fantastic Beasts.

Maybe we will see it culminating the five parts of the prequel series or even before that (After all Eddie Redmayne's Newt Scamander  is the prominent character) when Jude law's Albus Dumbledore will take on Mads Mikkelsen's Gellert Grindelwald in the duel.

But we already know the result that Albus Dumbledore defeated Gellert Grindelwald and the latter was locked up in his own Nurmengard prison. What the Fantastic Beast series has to do is to present the duel in the most impressive way possible and bring out the roles of Newt Scamander, Goldstein sister, No Maj Kowalski, Obscuralias Credence Barebone/Aurelius Dumbledore, Vinda Rosier.

The series also has to tell that how did Dumbledore who was only a shade better than Gellert could defeat him when the latter was using Elder wand and was it's real master too (unlike Lord Voldemort). 

We have to wait for a few years to get the real answer, but the minds of Wizarding world fans run faster than the speed of Firebolt.

Many Headcanon and fanfic are circulating regarding this duel. One of which is that :

The wand used by Albus Dumbledore was not his and indeed belonged to Merlin (The Mighty Merlin).

The scene would go on something like this :

After 18 years of hiding and refusing to face Gellert Grindelwald, Dumbledore has to fight his teenage friend for the sake of good. Both sides are waiting for the duels of their leaders and the day is do or die.

Before going to face Gellert, he is met by his old friends and guardians. 

Nicolas Flamel comes and gives him a paper with an address written over it. Albus after identifying the address smirks and passes a nod in approval.

The address belongs to non other than the Heir of Merlin who has alienated himself from rest of the Wizarding world and only few know about his whereabouts.

Albus went there and greets him and the heir aware about the situation take him to a secret place which even Albus had never heard, the place was in basement of the house protected by 3 charms which were mixture of Common and hard charms that made it impossible for an outsider to invade.

The place was Treasure of Merlin which includes all the treasures which Merlin left for his heir and his students. The Heir takes the wand from many of the things and gives it to Albus. Albus reads the word For the Good on the wand and gets it mastery.

Now, a shade lead of Albus over Grindelwald and nearly same lead of Elder wand over Merlin wand make the fight equal and the duel a Most Epic Duel of All Time.
